In this release we have broadened the scope of allowable ticket transfers. Here are the scenarios where tickets can be transferred.
1. You can transfer to a ticket with a higher value, and the customer will be responsible for paying the difference. You will need to collect the customer’s credit card information to complete the transfer.
2. You can transfer to a ticket with a lower value, and the customer will receive a refund for the difference.
3. You can transfer tickets regardless of whether the sales tax % matches.
4. You can transfer tickets regardless of whether fees are absorbed or passed on to the customer.
5. You can transfer tickets from reserved seat maps.
6. You can select multiple tickets to transfer at one time as long as they are not reserved seats from a seat map.
7. You can transfer between tickets that have different unit quantities. .
8. You can transfer 1 ticket to receive multiple tickets or select multiple tickets to transfer to a single ticket. To accommodate this, we will now ask you to enter the number of tickets you want to receive in the transfer.
There are only a few restrictions that still apply for successfully transferring tickets.
1. Both events must be using the same payment processor.
2. When transferring tickets between events that both use seat maps, only 1 ticket can be transferred at a time.
Transferring Tickets
1. To transfer a ticket, click on Orders and view the original order details.
2. Click on Transfer Tickets.
3. This will give you the option to select the specific tickets you wish to transfer. Once you toggle ‘Yes’ on the tickets you want to transfer, make sure you have selected the approperiate event and ticket type that you want them to be transferred to. You also need to specify the number of tickets you want to receive. Then click on Transfer Selected.
4. In this scenario we are transferring 4 GA tickets, and we want to receive 1 ticket for a Table. Because the Table for 4 is less expensive, the customer receives a partial refund. That detail will now appear on the order summary.
5. Once the transfer is complete, the customer will receive an email confirmation that includes the new tickets.
6. Once a ticket has been transferred, it will no longer scan. The customer will need to present the newly issued tickets for scanning at that event.
