This release provides further enhancements to the Safe Resell feature. The limit on how many times tickets can be resold has been lifted as well. As the Event Organizer, you will see some new options under your Organizer Settings and at the ticket level. Here are some additional details on each feature.
Ticket Reselling Below Face Value
- If you enable this feature, customers will be able to list their tickets for sale below the ticket’s face value.
- This provides customers who cannot attend an event an opportunity to recoup a portion of their costs. This should have a positive impact on event attendance.
- Customers who resell below face value will only be refunded the amount they listed the ticket(s) for plus any applicable sales tax. No venue, Stubs, or credit card processing fees will be returned to them. This means your Settlement Statement is not negatively impacted by this activity.
- We will not advertise any Resale Tickets on the event ticket page until that ticket type is sold out – regardless of price. However, anytime a ticket is listed for sale we will now provide the Seller with a link so they can advertise any available Resale Tickets on their own.
Wait-List Auto Advertising for Resale Tickets
- If you enable this feature, customers on the wait list will automatically be notified when resale tickets are posted that match their preferences (if that ticket type is sold out).
- When you view the wait list, you will be able to see when someone was last notified and whether they made a Safe Resale purchase from the email or text message that they received.
- If they make a purchase as a result of the notification, we will not continue to contact them regarding new Resale Tickets.
Expiration Date for Safe Resale Transactions
- This is a new ticket level feature that allows you to set a cutoff date for customers to be able to resell their tickets.
- This could be useful in situations where you need customer information in advance and need to prevent tickets from changing hands after a certain date.
Event Auto-Marketing
- This is a new feature that can be enabled under your organizer settings.
- If you choose to enable this feature, we will send promotional emails to customers on your subscriber list who have previously purchased tickets to similar events.
- If your visible to public date and on sale to public date are the same, we will batch those into an email that is sent on Friday of that week.
- If your visible to public date and on sale to public date do not match, we will schedule the email to be sent two hours before the on sale to public date/time.
Pro Tip
If you activate auto marketing, your client name will be used to identify you in the promotional emails. However, you can change that if you think something else would be more recognizable to your customers. This option will appear as soon as you enable the marketing feature.
